The goal for this 400-square-foot Tribeca studio was to make it functional for two people to live in comfortably. The entire kitchen was ripped out and replaced with custom cerused oak cabinetry to utilize every inch of wall space. A custom bookshelf/media cabinet was designed for the center of the space to create a division between the sofa and the bed. The desk in front of the window doubles as a dining table when pulled to the center of the space. The owners love color but despise clutter and "fluff", so decoration was kept to a minimum. The walls were painted white and bold colors were used on the kitchen floor and new sofa upholstery.
