Services
CPID offers a wide range of in-home services from decoration to full interior renovations. A design on paper is nothing if it can't be brought to life on time and on budget.
01Full Scope - Design and BuildDesign and construction management together, with one company accountable from concept to completion.
A comprehensive engagement including programming and concept development, construction documentation, procurement of materials and furnishings, trade coordination, build-out, and final installation — this is where interior design and construction converge. Full Scope delivers the greatest return on investment, ideal for clients renovating and furnishing simultaneously, as it eliminates the gap between conceptual design and construction. This service is structured with a flat design/construction fee and a modest markup on goods, with all construction handled in-house by our team.

02Furnishings, Color Schemes, and InstallationThis is where your home takes shape and comes to life. We select, source, and install furnishings, textiles, lighting, window treatments, wallpaper and accessories to marry seamlessly with your existing treasures.
Finish selections are made against a real budget and a precise floor plan, then ordered, tracked, received, and installed. Existing pieces are inventoried and reworked where appropriate and new pieces are sourced to fill the gaps. Not only will we design your new space, but we will handle cosmetic upgrades such as painting, wallpaper installation, light fixture changes, and custom millwork. Our trade team has been hand selected by Carolyn, so you can trust the quality of work you're paying for. We then bring everything together on a well-choreographed installation day which means less stress for everyone. This is a great option for a client who has just purchased their dream home and needs to intentionally furnish their new space or for a homeowner or renter who needs an interior refresh and doesn't know where to start. This service is structured with a flat design/construction fee and a modest markup on goods, with all construction handled in-house by our team.

03Owner's Representative for New Builds and RenovationsFrom ground-up, custom built homes to Interior Renovations in Austin and The Hill Country, CPID will manage all phases of your project from helping select the proper team to the final punch list.
In this role, Carolyn works as an Owner's Rep collaborating with the project team from the start. Millwork, lighting, plumbing, and finish details are confirmed on paper with the proper trades rather than corrected on site. Having run construction projects as a Project Manager herself, she knows the proper sequence of a buildout and can stay one step ahead of the job's progress ensuring a timely completion date. As a licensed designer, you can rest assured that quick on-site decisions will be made properly and mistakes are caught early. This minimizes delays, costly change orders, and overall client fatigue during a build-out. This option is a great fit for a client who is building or remodeling a home in or around Austin and cannot be present on a day-today basis. Carolyn will represent you and protect your investment throughout the entire process. This service is priced per square foot, with the rate determined by project scope.

01What are the benefits of working with a designer who also manages the build-out?
Working with a firm that offers both design and construction creates a seamless experience from concept to completion. Because the same team that envisions your space also oversees its execution, design intent is carried through every detail, with nothing lost in translation between separate parties.
02Does CPID collaborate with other Interior Designers?
Absolutely. There is a particular alchemy that occurs when a designer's vision is brought to life by a team who speaks the same language. As a licensed Interior Designer, Carolyn understands your process, will honor your intent, and can anticipate the challenges unique to this craft. We would be honored to serve as another designer's contractor and project manager—translating designs into built reality with the fluency and care they deserve.
03Does CPID collaborate with outside Contractors?
To ensure the highest standard of quality and a seamless client experience, CPID manages both the design and construction of every project we undertake. As a result, we do not partner with outside contractors. Keeping design and construction under one roof allows us to maintain clear accountability, protect the integrity of the design vision, and oversee every detail from concept to completion. For clients who value a cohesive, well-coordinated process, this integrated approach is one of the greatest advantages of working with CPID.
04What is an Owner's Rep?
An Owner's Representative (or "owner's rep") is an industry professional, in this case a licensed Interior Designer, who acts on behalf of the homeowner throughout a renovation or construction project, serving as their advocate and primary point of accountability from start to finish. In a residential build-out, the owner's rep will bridge communication between all parties involved in the project, manage the budget, oversee the timeline, reviews contracts and change orders, conducts site visits and problem solves on the fly.
05Does CPID offer exterior design and construction services?
Our exterior services span the details that define a home's curb appeal and outdoor living: thoughtfully curated paint palettes, patio tile and lighting design, and outdoor furniture layouts, as well as guidance on exterior elements including fence designs and window styles. Exterior remodels that add square footage fall outside our design scope, though we're pleased to support those projects through our owner's representation services.
06Does CPID provide ongoing maintenance after a project is complete?
Our relationship doesn't end at the final walkthrough. We're happy to help you care for the spaces we've created together, whether that means coordinating touch-ups, sourcing replacement finishes or furnishings, or connecting you with trusted trade partners for routine upkeep. Simply reach out, and we'll help ensure your home continues to look and function as beautifully as the day it was completed.
