This one-bedroom, West Village apartment underwent major renovations to attract higher rent for the owner. The original finishes and backgrounds in this apartment were almost 30 years old. The kitchen, bathroom, and flooring were all completely ripped out and new hardware, lighting, appliances, and closet doors were added. The original black and dark grey color palette was brightened up with white subway tile, carrara mosaic floor tile, and a soft grey quartzite countertop. Walnut stained engineered flooring adds contrast to the new light colors. Durability was key, so finishes were chosen to stand up to multiple tenants while also keeping renovation costs low.
